Product Description

The life of legendary poet Dylan Thomas is told through the stories of two free-spirited women who loved him in this fiery romantic drama set in wartime London. As World War II rages on, poet Thomas (Matthew Rhys) reconnects with an old flame, Vera (Keira Knightley), who is working as a cabaret singer while he is writing propaganda scripts for the government. When his wife Caitlin (Sienna Miller) learns of Vera s re-entry into her husband s life, what could have been a heated battle between the two women instead blossoms into an unlikely camaraderie, as each finds their tempestuous nature and shared affections reflected in the other. But with the return home of Vera s former lover William (Cillian Murphy), a rift begins to develop that threatens to destroy the seemingly idyllic lives they ve started to build with each other. And as the war continues, the two women s devoted friendship may be the one thing that endures them as their lives are changed and their loyalties tested during this most tumultuous time in history.

Their friendship is put to the test when Captain Kilick goes on a PTSD shooting rampage in their home. I recommend it.

    I was very confused watching this, a good chunk of the scenes felt rushed and confusing. The acting however from Cillian Murphy and Kiera Knightley were great. You could really feel Murphys pain with some of the scenes. Not too bad. I'd give it watch if you're bored, but there isn't really anything special other than a few scenes.

    This was a really great movie though I thought it was going to be a little bit different. I just love Keira Knightley and Cillian Murphy and their performances were just amazing! This was a stunning movie even though I'm not the biggest fan of the old clips/portions they had in there, but that didn't even matter with the superb acting by everyone involved. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good drama and/or romance. (P.S. Tears MAY ensue, so get some tissues ready just in case)

    What a disappointment! Dylan Thomas was perhaps the greatest of Welsh poets and should be remembered for his work. A fabulous film could have been produced, based on a true biographical account of his colorful life. Instead, we have a highly-fictionalized film, centering around a fictionalized story of two silly women. For those not familiar with the poetical genius of Dylan Thomas, I sigh at this missed opportunity to bring him to the public. Further, I am astounded at the great reviews other viewers have submitted. Warning to Dylan Thomas fans: Don't bother with this circus feature.

    In BATMAN BEGINS freut er sich als irrer Psychater, dass Batman im Raum sein muss, und ich habe das Gefühl, ich bekomme diese Irrheit direkt mit.
    Ich habe ihn schon in vielen Filmen gesehen, in Kömodien, in Frauenklamotten und nun in EDGE OF LOVE.
    Ich liebe es wenn jemand mit seinem Gesicht erzählt. Und dass macht dieser Kerl intensiv. - WOW!

    Ein Film der mit den richtigen Bildern von den richtigen Menschen erzählt wird.
