Product Description
Harry & Son director Paul Newman (The Sting) stars as Harry Keach, a widowed, blue collar, by-the-book construction worker whose less-than-ideal relationship with his sensitive, daydreaming son, Howard (Robby Benson, Ice Castles) sets the story in motion. Frustrated by Howard's inability to take life seriously, Harry is soon confronted with his own mortality when an on-the-job accident offers him an opportunity to re-evaluate his life and shortcomings. Harry & Son co-stars Joanne Woodward (Rachel, Rachel, The Three Faces of Eve), Ellen Barkin (Sea of Love, Diner), Wilford Brimley (The Firm, The Thing). Judith Ivey (The Devil's Advocate, Flag of Our Fathers), Ossie Davis (Do The Right Thing, TV's "King"), and Morgan Freeman (Glory, The Dark Knight).

- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2022Great film. Top notch acting, terrific Direction, never a dull moment. So glad to add this to my collection. Newman is on his game in this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2021I am so glad this movie came out on DVD. I was happy with the picture quality. The sound volume was low. I usually listen to the TV on volume level 12 or so. This movie I had the volume level on around 55. I am glad I bought it.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2022Good Newman flick. Morgan Freeman even shows up in this movie, who knew.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2019This was very good technical quality for a hard-to-find old movie. The movie itself is a three star--read IMDB or Wiki reviews. Easy transaction.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2025I believe this movie was filmed in Lake Worth, (Lake Worth Beach today) Florida. Not Ft.Lauderdale as has been suggested. I thought it might have been Lake Worth. And a quick wikipedia check confirmed it. Since Ft. Lauderdale is already well known. I wanted to make sure the L-DUB got the credit it is due.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2015Paul and Robbie Benson. Benson made quite a few movies when he was young. He has grown older and has had a lot of physical problems. You need this in your collection.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2017Under-rated movie of the 80's made in Ft Lauderdale. Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward are great in this film. Touching story
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2020Nice DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Très beau film intimiste du grand Paul Newman
