The wild and wacky world of licensing deals for various regions for (1080) Blu-ray releases may well have contributed to the fact that those on this side of the pond who (for whatever reason) looked for the two films in this package on disc would have found first an older 1080 release of The Woman put out by the little remembered label The Collective, which was then followed a few years later by Arrow's 1080 release of The Woman. There's only a rather old Lionsgate 1080 Region A release of Offspring. In that regard, Arrow's UK branch offered a 1080 double feature of The Woman and Offspring, which its US division is now bringing out on 4K UHD discs.

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked reviews. Arrow's insert booklet offers a trio of 2020 essays, along with the typical cast, crew and transfer information. The keepcase features a reversible sleeve, and packaging offers a slipcover.

In the "find humor where you can" department, I kept wondering during my first two viewings of The Woman who exactly the titular character's appearance reminded me of, and suddenly partway through this version it dawned on me that Pollyanna McIntosh comes off as a kind of feral version of Bettie Page. Also in the unintended comedy department, Arrow's check disc for this release had the title listed as The Women, which momentarily made me think the label was releasing the venerable old Cukor film. This double feature obviously has its fans, as is perhaps evidenced by the number of times the films have been re-released at this stage. I may not be one of those fans, but this package offers secure technical merits and Arrow's typical outstanding supply of supplemental material, for those who may be considering making a purchase.
