Roger Corman loves a knock-off, especially anything that even remotely resembles 1979’s “Alien.” In 1989’s “The Terror Within” and 1991’s “The Terror Within II,” Corman delivers a double whammy of “Alien”-like horror and action, only his take is unexpectedly more lurid, bringing unwelcome darkness to genre escapism.
