Reviewed by Neil Lumbard September 9, 2023The Jackie Chan Collection Vol. 1 is an essential box-set that includes an assortment of classic action-adventure classics starring the legendary Jackie Chan: The Killer Meteors, Shaolin Wooden Men, To Kill with Intrigue, Snake & Crane Arts of Shaolin, Dragon Fist, Battle Creek Brawl, and Dragon Lord. The entire collection is jam- packed with awesomeness that only Jackie Chan could provide. A superb collection and a must own.
Growing up, I always went to see every single new release Jackie Chan film in the theater with my mother. My mother introduced me to the films of Jackie Chan at a young age – he was her favorite action-movie star and she cherished his films. There was always something remarkably special about each and every new Jackie Chan film we saw together (be it theatrically or while watching older classics on DVD). The Jackie Chan Collection Vol. 1 is an outstanding release for fans.

The Jackie Chan Collection: Volume 1 (1976-1982) Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation
It is a delight to be able to cover the Jackie Chan collection – the collection is special to me for a number of reasons. Jackie Chan is a seminal talent and one of the forefront artists in the field of martial arts. A brilliant actor and performer in the field of action-comedy and someone who is just as talented and important to cinema as Bruce Lee.
Fans of Jackie Chan should consider the Jackie Chan Collection Vol. 1 to be an essential release with an assortment of entertaining, moving, and thrilling spectacles. Chan provides the right balance of both comedy and action. There is something magical about Chan and he is one of the best action-comedy actors (of any generation). Through his talent and presence on screen to his kindness in real-life, Jackie Chan is a real hero – the kind of hero the world will always need.
The Blu-ray release provides an assortment of impressive remastered presentations with high-definition video and lossless audio. The collection also contains a huge plethora of supplemental features on the release. Highly recommended.
