This spectacular box set comprises 11 classic martial arts films from the famous Shaw Brothers' library, featuring some of their greatest stars – Jimmy Wang Yu (One-Armed Swordsman), Cheng Pei-pei (Come Drink With Me), Lo Lieh (King Boxer), Ku Feng (The Five Venoms), and David Chiang (The Boxer From Shantung). These essential martial arts classics are renowned as some of the best martial arts films ever made. Featuring legendary martial arts stars Cheng Pei-pei, Lo Lieh, Jimmy Wang Yu, David Chiang, and Ku Feng. The box-set is a must-own for fan of martial arts films and it deserves a spot in the library of all action fans.

Shaw Brothers Classics: Volume 1 is an essential box-set for action fans. Simply put: a must-own release. The collection has 11 martial arts gems. The release is going to be cherished by martial arts fans. One would have to channel a death grip on me to get me to ever part with this collection – a fantastic release. Shaw Brothers fans are in for a real treat and newcomers should dive in, too.
The Blu-ray release has impressive presentations of classic martial arts films and there's some nice extra content, too. The set is outstanding and the package design impresses as well. Shout Factory has hit a homerun. Please inject more Shaw Brothers into my veins, pronto. Highly recommended.
