Immoral Guild is a comedy action-adventure anime series in the erotic arena. Created by Taichi Kawazoe, Immoral Guild is an erotic anime and one that could be considered as a light hentai production. Based on the manga illustrated and written by Taichi Kawazoe, the manga was originally published and serialized in the Monthly Shōnen Gangan.

Originally broadcast on Japanese television from October 5th, 2022 to December 21st, 2022 on AT-X (as the uncensored version before other networks broadcast a censored cut of the series), Immoral Guild was licensed for home media release and streaming on HIDIVE in North America by Sentai Filmworks. Sentai Filmworks provides the uncensored version of the series.

Produced by Takurō Hatakeyama (High School DxD, Kandagawa Jet Girls), Satoshi Motonaga (Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World, Dropout Idol Fruit Tart), Terushige Yoshie (Drug Store in Another World - The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist, High School DxD Hero), Noritomo Isogai (Aria the Scarlet Ammo AA, Goblin Slayer), and Shōta Komatsu (I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, The Case Study of Vanitas), Immoral Guild features animation produced by TNK (Blade Dance of the Elementalers, Destiny of the Shrine Maiden). The theme song is performed by Sayaka Sasaki (opening) and Minami Kuribayashi (ending). Fans of hentai style anime will find a lot that might appeal to them, with tentacles aplenty.

Kikuru Madan (Katsumi Fukuhara) is an ambitious leader with a desire for adventure! The headstrong and determined Kikuru might have a lot on his plate but he wants nothing more than to find a good group of guild members to help handle the reigns if he decides to step down as the guild leader. An intense undertaking of epic proportions, Kikuru has determined to set forth on his new quests and manage to find some nice ladies to help keep up the pace.

The young women who apply for the job become involved in the guild activities of battling gigantic monsters – yet the women find the job is challenging in ways these women never expected as the monsters have some tentacle obsessions to boot! Can the women overcome the slimy and sticky tentacle situation to become leaders in the guild? One can hope! Kikuru helps train Hitamu Kyan (Carin Isobe) (aka “Hitamuki”), Maidena Angers (Ayano Shibuya), and the other girls in the art of combat against giant slime-covered monsters.

The character designs for Immoral Guild are by Hiraku Kaneko (Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid, Queen's Blade 2: The Evil Eye) are good for an erotic anime. The designs of the women are voluptuous and the bosom bodies of these ladies are on display. Fans of erotic anime character design styles will find plenty that should appeal to them with the aesthetic designs for these sexy ladies.

The animation is above average for the type of erotic anime that this is – a step above other series in the genre. Featuring art direction by Satoru Hirayanagi (DARLING in the FRANXX, Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom) and chief animation direction by Junji Gotō (Blade Dance of the Elementalers, Kandagawa Jet Girls), the animation works well at showcasing the sexual encounters of these characters. The animation explores the sexy side of the guild members and the animators make sure to showcase as much detail for hentai fans as possible.  

The cinematography by Takuya Ogata (Kandagawa Jet Girls, One Punch Man) is an impressive part of the production. The cinematographic style is colorful and bold. The art style works well at enhancing the sex acts and showcasing the vivid details in the production. The cinematographer doesn’t want audiences missing out on the sexcapades of the characters – the vivid animation highlighted well.

The score composed by Ryo Shirasawa didn’t do much for me and is decent background music but doesn’t stand out too much. This is par-the-course for many series in the genre. Nonetheless, the compositions are decent enough for the sex-adventures and it works well as background music.

Written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime), Immoral Guild is a series that no one would watch for the plot. The goal is to tantalize audiences in showcasing bosom women in all kinds of sexy positions. Fudeyasu makes sure to highlight these positions – tentacles and all. Time for some squealing.

Directed by Takuya Asaoka (Redo of Healer, Kandagawa Jet Girls), Immoral Guild is erotic anime with an adventure side. Director Asaoka highlights some action elements alongside the onslaught of sexed up women and sexy scenarios. Fans of hentai light anime productions will find a lot to appreciate about Immoral Guild. Immoral Guild offers plenty of tantalizing sexiness for those who enjoy in the hentai genre.

Immoral Guild: Complete Collection Blu-ray Movie, Video Quality 

Released on Blu-ray by Sentai Filmworks, Immoral Guild is presented in 1080p MPEG-4 AVC encoded high-definition in the original television broadcast aspect ratio of 1.78:1 widescreen. The Blu-ray presentation provides an excellent high-definition presentation. The video quality on the set is exceptional. The high-definition encoding provides a bright and colorful image reproducing the animation. The encode capably showcases the cinematography of Takuya Ogata. Sentai Filmworks has good a good job with the encoding and has made sue to provide the uncensored version of the series. The Blu-ray presentation provides higher bit-rates compared to streaming video platforms. Audiences wanting the best high-definition experience (with the least amount of compression) will want to opt for the Blu-ray over the streaming version – higher bit-rates and better encoding means a more impressive video presentation for those seeking the best picture quality possible.

The release is presented in Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 (with English subtitles). No English dub option is provided on the release – only the original language audio. The lossless audio presentation provides a crisp and pleasing soundstage. Dialogue and sound effects are well reproduced. The soundtrack score is a highlight of the release and the music is enveloping on the release. The sound direction by Hiroto Morishita (A Centaur's Life, Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls) is well handled for the stereo audio. The lossless audio is a step above what one could find with streaming platforms. Streaming platforms are limited to lossy audio quality. So for those audiences wanting to hear every moan with lossless high-fidelity, the Blu-ray provides that with outstanding clarity.

Immoral Guild: Complete Collection Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras 

The one area of the release that could have been improved is the supplemental package. The release could have used some cast/crew interviews, art galleries, and other behind-the-scenes material. An especially interesting extra would have been a comparison video showcasing some of the changes between the original uncensored version (as provided here) and the censored version. Sentai did the right thing by only providing the uncensored version. Even so, a comparison could have been interesting simply as a supplemental feature to round out the package. Though a small segment of viewers might wish the set provided both versions of the series, it seems that a good call was made by Sentai with providing only the fully uncensored version.

Immoral Guild is a sexy hentai-light anime series with plenty of tentacles and bursting bosoms. The series has an abundance of sexy ladies in a variety of sticky situations. Audiences who enjoy hentai should find a lot to appreciate about the series blend of action and sex. The release provides fully uncensored and uncut footage with all the sex on the table – no silly censorship. The Blu-ray has both excellent video and audio. The Blu-ray provides superior video and audio to streaming video services. For those who want to see every sexy lady with the upmost clarity and hear every moan with pristine clarity. The release only provides a small number of supplements, though. For fans of the series, the release may be worth considering.
