Paramount has released a two-SteelBook, two-film, six-disc Gladiator collection via Amazon. This is simply a repackaging of the two films' wide release Steelbooks; there's nothing new here beyond the outer box. See the "Special Features and Extras" section of the review below for a few words on the packaging, and see the included photos for a few looks at what's included.

Paramount ships this Gladiator SteelBook collection in a simple slip box that depicts a close-up of a gladiator's leg, center, with sword and shield in hand, in the midst of battle. The words "Gladiator: 2-Movie Collection" run vertically along the left side. The rear panel features an intricate piece of armor. The SteelBooks slip inside with a recessed dividing wall in between that allows easy access to both of them. The interior has a golden color about it. As noted previously, the SteelBooks are identical to previous issues; this is simply a bundling of what's already available. While Paramount hasn't offered anything new here beyond the outer box, this is a good value for both films, especially given that, at time of writing, purchasing both new would run close to $110. Buyers of this set will save about $50. Good deal. Recommended!
