All four films, including the latest installment of Illumination's 'Despicable Me' franchise, 'Despicable Me 4', arrive on Blu-ray disc in this 'Despicable Me 4-Movie Collection' courtesy of Universal. The most recent chapter of this unstoppable and unabashedly silly and mischievous franchise sees the return of all critical members of the voice cast such as Steve Carell (Gru) and Kristen Wiig (Lucy) as well as the addition of new soon-to-be favorites like Joey King (Poppy Prescott). Previous installments also include a veritable who's who of Hollywood stars and A-list voice talent such as Julie Andres, Will Arnet, Ken Jeong, and Trey Parker, just to mention a few. Solid technical merits and numerous special features for each film, including many hilarious Minions mini-movies, round out the release. A slipcover and a Digital Code redeemable through Movies Anywhere are also included.

Gru and Despicable Me's ever-expanding cast of characters clearly aren't going anywhere any time soon, with Despicable Me 4 being the latest full-length film in the 14-year-old franchise. The original film from 2010 did an excellent job of positioning a villain as someone audiences could root for, while the Minions, Edith, Agnes and Margo functioned to both humanize and gradually provide him with a path to redemption. Each subsequent film would, in some way, continue to work toward that end through the addition of new characters and new challenges for Gru, the Minions, and the growing stable of unconventionally heroic characters to confront. While perhaps not always as inventive and original as the first film, each sequel succeeds in providing an entertaining and engaging story that should delight film fans of all ages. Graced with excellent 1080p transfers, pleasing audio tracks, a superb voice cast, and a healthy amount of supplemental features, franchise fans who have yet to add these films to their collections shouldn't hesitate to purchase a copy of the money and space-saving Despicable Me 4-Movie Collection on Blu-ray disc. Highly recommended.
